Previously I helped grow Brandwatch from seed round through to acquisition. Prior to that, I did a Ph.D. in compilers. I'm the author of Become An Effective Software Engineering Manager, released in 2020 on Pragmatic Programmers and distributed by O'Reilly. My next book, Effective Remote Working, is out in print in early 2022 with the same publisher.
